Dom ("we", "us", "our") is a real estate platform operating in the Republic of Macedonia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our website and services.

  • Account information: full name, email, phone number, password (hashed), account type (user/agent)
  • Listing information: property address, city, postcode, coordinates (latitude/longitude), description, photos, price, and property features
  • Contact inquiries: name, email, phone, and message when sending an inquiry to a listing owner
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, language preference, session cookies
  • Profile photo: user-uploaded profile picture (optional)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Create and manage your user account
  • Publish and display property listings
  • Enable communication between buyers/renters and owners/agents
  • Display properties on a map via Google Maps
  • Save your favourite properties
  • Improve our platform and user experience
  • Protect against misuse and unauthorized access

  • Session cookies: to maintain your login and CSRF protection
  • Language cookie: to remember your language preference (Macedonian/English)
  • "Remember me" cookie: for an extended session if you select this option during login

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared with:

  • Other users: your name, phone, and email are visible when you publish a listing or send an inquiry
  • Google Maps: property addresses and coordinates are displayed on Google Maps for location visualization
  • Hosting provider: our servers are hosted on Hetzner (Germany/EU)

6. Data Security

We take the following measures to protect your data:

  • Passwords are hashed using the bcrypt algorithm
  • CSRF protection on all forms
  • Login attempt rate limiting
  • Parameterized SQL queries for SQL injection protection
  • Security HTTP headers (Helmet)

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data through your profile
  • Update or correct your data
  • Delete your listings
  • Request account deletion by contacting info@dom.com.mk

8. Data Retention

We store your data as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
